Jamie Alcock founded Futures House Limited to operate an interconnected series of professional activities under a single standard spanning senior consulting, executive education, applied software, and scholarly publishing.
His career as a finance academic includes senior academic and leadership roles at the University of Cambridge, the University of Oxford (Saïd Business School), and the University of Sydney. His research and consulting span real estate finance, asset pricing, financial regulation, and fiscal policy, with publications and commissioned work across the UK, Australia, and Asia.
Jamie is a multi-award-winning scholar. His research has earned the EPRA Best Paper Prize at the European Real Estate Society Conference, the A M Parker Prize for Best Paper in the Australian Actuarial Journal from the Institute of Actuaries Australia, the IPD Best Paper Prize at the European Real Estate Society Conference, and the ASX/SFE Prize for Best Derivatives Paper at the Australian Banking and Finance Conference, alongside the Excellence in Research Award from the University of Queensland Business School.
He has secured more than £1 million in competitive research funding, including Australian Research Council Discovery and Linkage Grants, awards from the Centre for International Finance and Regulation, a National Natural Science Foundation of China grant, and a Carrick Institute Teaching and Learning grant. He is a former Fellow of Downing College, Cambridge, and a four-time nominee for the Wayne Lonergan Outstanding Teaching Award at the University of Sydney Business School. His doctoral supervision record includes eleven completions, the majority of whom received international research prizes for work conducted under supervision.
