01About these terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to your use of the website at futureshouse.co.uk (the “Site”), operated by Futures House Limited (“Futures House”, “we”, “us”), a private company limited by shares registered in England and Wales under company number 15842304. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

02About the Site

The Site provides information about Futures House and its four practice areas — consulting, education and training, software, and scholarly publishing. The Site is informational in nature.

Nothing on the Site constitutes an offer, a contract, professional advice, or a solicitation in any jurisdiction. All engagements with Futures House are formed only by a separate written agreement signed by an authorised representative.

03Use of the Site

You may access and read the Site, and use its contents for personal, academic, professional, or internal business purposes, provided that you do not:

  • Use the Site in any way that breaches applicable law or regulation.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its server, or any connected systems.
  • Introduce malicious code, conduct denial-of-service activity, or otherwise interfere with the Site’s operation.
  • Use automated means to extract content in a manner that imposes an unreasonable burden on our infrastructure, or that circumvents access controls.
  • Reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit substantial portions of the Site’s content without our prior written consent, save as permitted under applicable copyright exceptions.

Crawling and indexing by recognised search engines and AI research agents is permitted in accordance with the directives published at /robots.txt and /llms.txt.

04Intellectual property

Unless otherwise indicated, all content on the Site — including text, design, images, photographs, logos, code, and arrangement — is owned by Futures House or used under licence, and is protected by copyright, trade-mark, and related rights under the laws of England and Wales and other jurisdictions.

“Futures House” and “Futures House Publishing” are trading names of Futures House Limited.

Quotation of short extracts with attribution, in accordance with normal academic and journalistic practice, is permitted. Substantial reproduction, republication, or commercial use of Site content requires prior written permission.

05Accuracy of information

Information on the Site is provided in good faith and is intended to be accurate at the time of publication. The Site is offered on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make no warranty, express or implied, that the Site or its content is complete, current, accurate in all respects, free from error, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose. You should not rely on Site content as a substitute for professional advice in respect of any specific matter.

06Third-party links

The Site contains links to third-party websites and resources. These links are provided for convenience only. We do not control, endorse, or accept responsibility for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site, and your use of such sites is at your own risk and subject to their own terms.

07Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • Futures House is not liable for any indirect, consequential, special, incidental, or punitive loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or anticipated savings, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site.
  • Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site is limited to £100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other matter for which it would be unlawful to exclude or limit liability. Your statutory rights are not affected.

08Privacy and cookies

Your use of the Site is also subject to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which form part of these Terms.

09Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is the one in effect, dated at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
